World Class Knitter

My wife Helen won 1st place in the National Cattle Congress Knitting Contests. She entered 6 projects and was awarded not one blue ribbon mind you, but 4, yes 4, blue ribbons and 1 2nd Place ribbon. She entered 6 projects and only 1 did not receive a ribbon (what happened?) She is a world class knitter - and the ladies at our church affectionately refer to her as the "Knitting Doctor"... they frequently bring projects to Helen that they have gubbered up for her to fix... Yet Another Yarn Shop

We found another NEW yarn shop in Lakeville, Minnesota. It seems I'm becoming somewhat of an authority on yarn shops and this one is pretty good. The owner is friendly, helpful and has a wide variety of yarns, books and needles. And, no - I'm not taking up knitting - I will however take photos of knitting and knitters.

I acquired a new "toy" yesterday - a Flip Video Camera. I thought it would be fun to take quick videos here and there to add to a few of the websites I do. I don't plan to post videos here, but thought you might enjoy my first video - shot at the yarn shop. The above photos were taken out of the video and edited with PhotoShop.

3 Kittens Yarn Shop

For years my wife's favorite (or one of her most favorite) yarn shops has been 3 Kittens in Mendota Heights, MN. They used to be in a much older building that seemed to go on forever with nooks and crannies everywhere. They recently relocated to a new building. As in the past I took my camera to shoot pictures while she browsed (and bought) the yarn and assorted knitting "stuff".
