is that a little woodpecker? I haven't seen any lately. Wasn't sure if they migrated somewhere or not. I did see a ROBIN this morning. Make me wonder if SPRING will be coming early as we never see Robins before the thaw!!
It is indeed a downy woodpecker. Can't tell from the photo if it is male (with a red nape) or female (no red). Both male and female were eating hungrily the day Robert shot this. Lin
