Yellow Tulips

Oz Girl, a fellow 365 Blogger, gave me the idea to use poster board as a background. My wife had brought home some tulips for a center piece, and put them in a red vase - it just screamed "photo op"... I ran to Hobby Lobby, purchased some foam core board, ran home again and took this picture. I softened it a bit in photoshop - but, I like it. Do you?

  2. I think it is a cool shot! I like the blur effect on the edges of the flowers. The colors are so vibrant, AND I love the poster board idea. I think I will have to try it!!

  4. Great presentation! The tulips are bright and cheerful! I like the idea of using posterboard that OZgirl shared with us as well. I've used colored tissue paper and wrapping paper for some stuff I've photographed.

  5. Awesome, great idea with the blue posterboard,it really makes the red vase and the yellow tulips explode! Well, maybe POP is the word. :) I like the blur effect around the flowers too. Really cool shot. Oh and thanks for the credit, although I got the idea out of one of my photography books, so let's see, credit would be due to Scott Kelby.
