Blacks Building

Black's Building in downtown Waterloo was completed in 1914 and is part of the skyline in Waterloo. People in NE Iowa know this building. The Department Store is long since gone and now it's an office building. I understand that there will be a new "fancy" restaurant on the top floor. I was downtown yesterday and took a picture.

Here is an older image I found online...

  2. Great shot. I really like the "now and then" photos. I've been wanting to do that with builidings and old postcards in my town for some time. I think it's fascinating.

  3. That was so cool that you were able to capture the same angle of the building as the old photo. I, like Sujomi, love "now and then" pics. Our town newspaper has a feature every week where they show some building now and what was in that spot 50-60 years ago. I find it fascinating.

Also, glad I could make you chuckle with that awful pic of me. A little laughter can go a long way some days.
